In 1995, a young boy named Tom was visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo. That same day, a young girl named Chelsea was visiting the zoo and got separated from her family. She wound up in the bird exhibit, and was scared, causing all the wild birds to get excited and violently flap their wings. Tom was able to locate Chelsea’s family and safely return her to them.
Chelsea and her family never saw Tom again until Chelsea moved to Chicago in 2012 and was hired as a graphic designer. Tom was hired by the same company ten days later, and they soon were reminded of their encounter with each other many years ago, and became good friends with similar interests in art, design and woodworking. They began making thier own picture frames to house the many poster prints that Chelsea had, and have turned their shared interests into Rocking Bird, uniquely sourced handmade woodcrafts
